| Generally speaking lowering the pressures creates a larger contact patch ,gives more grip and tends to work the compound more which improves warm up. The downside to this is a trade off in straightline instability, poor wet weather performance.Tyre pressures recomended for the road by the manufacturer gives the optimum performance for that type of tyre , under normal use.
Therefore i would recommend fitting the correct tyres for the job in hand . Track developed tyres have differing construction and compounds and are designed to run at lower pressures. Always refer to your supplier for the exact pressures to run. | | |
